Chiba Plant

Chiba Plant

Established in 1959 on the waterfront industrial park in Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture, that fronts Tokyo Bay, the Chiba Plant manufactures chemical products using natural gas generated from its own Oami Shirasato Mine and such imported industrial materials as raw salt or fluorite. In January 2009, Asahi-Penn Chemical in Chiba plant was merged with Asahi Glass.

We are working on the continual reduction of our environmental impact and prevention of environmental contamination by considering environmental preservation at all stages of our products, from development to abolishment. The major premise of our business is “to be in harmony with the environment,” and we regard it as the responsibility of a corporation that handles a wide range of chemicals.
