
In 1909, two years after the establishment of Asahi Glass in 1907, the Kansai Plant started operating in Amagasaki City, the core of the Hanshin Industrial Zone. It was the first factory in Japan to successfully mass-produce flat glass. The plant currently produces various high-performance glass substrates for displays.
